Good morning, friend,

Welcome to the very first issue of Morning Grace Weekly. Thank you for letting me into your inbox. Whether you have read every devotional this week or none at all, you are welcome here.

This past week we spent our mornings on peace: the kind that holds when life is loud, when tomorrow is uncertain, when our minds will not rest, and when so much still feels unfinished. We started on Sunday by simply being still before God, and we ended on Saturday with permission to rest.

A short reflection

We often imagine that peace will come once everything is settled: when the schedule clears, the decision is made, and every problem has an answer. But life rarely gives us that moment.

Jesus never asked us to wait for it. He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27, NKJV).

That is the thread running through this whole week. We can be still before the problems are solved, leave tomorrow in God’s hands, pray instead of replaying every worry, choose peace at home, and rest before the list is done. His peace does not depend on our circumstances. It depends on Him, and He has not changed.

A prayer for the week ahead

Father, thank You that Your peace is not like the world’s peace. When life is loud, teach us to be still and know that You are God. When tomorrow feels heavy, help us leave it with You. When our minds will not rest, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Make our homes places of peace, and when the week ends unfinished, let us come to You and find rest for our souls. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
